Lately we've noticed an uptick in past meetings marked 'Not Started' even when you've confirmed that they occurred.
Here's what we know about this issue:
Why It's Happening: Our system syncs with Zoom, letting us know when meetings begin and end. This enables us to trigger, capture, and process recordings. Unfortunately, for some unknown reasons, Zoom hasn't been sending the necessary webhooks, leaving us in the dark.
The Good News: We're working hand-in-hand with Zoom's top tech heads, including their CTO, to get to the bottom of this.
The Not-So-Great News: Despite their efforts, they haven't yet identified the root cause. But, rest assured, they're making progress daily.
Immediate Fix: If UpdateAI doesn't trigger for Zoom's native cloud to start recording at the beginning of your meeting, simply start the recording manually. We'll get the recording and process it post-meeting.
Near-Term Fix: Perhaps this is a good time to spoil the surprise that we are building a bot, and it will be available soon. The primary method for recording your meetings will continue to be through Zoom's native cloud recording (which is more seamless). But in cases like what I've described above, we'll have a back-up to make sure that your recordings are captured.
We're optimistic about a permanent resolution soon to this issue soon. In the meantime, we need your support. If you encounter any failed meetings fitting this description, please reach out directly to me at email@example.com with the title, date, and time of the affected meeting(s).
I'm sincerely sorry for this inconvenience. We know it's crucial, and we're working tirelessly with Zoom to rectify it. We genuinely appreciate your understanding.
